Weekly Grocery Outlet Report

I’m going to start doing a weekly report of what I find at our Grocery Outlet store. I know a lot of people are skeeved out by that place, but I like to think of it as my favorite store to treasure hunt. Just check packaging and dates and you will be fine. Also, some things are more expensive if you aren’t checking closely. I found a box of 12 Nutri-Grain bars for $4.99. I bought a 20 count box of the same thing at Target the day before for $5.99. Generally you have to watch their crackers, cookies, and packaged items because you can usually get those cheaper at the regular store when they hit their rock bottom price. Here’s what I found this week:

  • 2 bottles Simply lemonade blueberry flavor
  • 1 large bottle Simply lemonade
  • 1 large bottle Simply orange juice
  • 2 – 4 count Cici’s salsa snackers
  • 1 Land O Lakes European butter
  • 2 cans Bush’s Mexican style beans
  • 10 Simply orange individual juices
  • 6 – 4 count boxes of Dole fruit squish ’ems
  • 1 box instant organic apple and cinnamon oatmeal
  • 4 boxes Marvel chewy granola bars
  • 2 containers of Planters protein mixed nuts
  • 1 – 20 count flour tortillas
  • Swiss Miss candy cane hot chocolate
  • 2 bags Stacy’s pita chips
  • 1 box Pillsbury fudge truffle cake mix
  • 6 – 4 count Apple and Eve apple juices
  • 1- 3 pound bag of red delicious apples from Hendersonville
  • 2 pounds of bananas
  • Grand total – $38

Other items of note were Cascadian Farms organic cereal for $1.79 and several different varieties of Hilshire Farms lunch meat tubs for $1!  Leave me a comment and let me know what treasures you’ve found!

  1. I love GO! They have had a good selection of Fiber One bars and Nature Valley granola bars for $1 lately. They also had Edy’s ice cream, some for $1 and some for $1.99. Probably mine are the only kids who want ice cream when it’s 10 degrees outside, but they were happy that I bought some!

    1. Yes! The ice cream selection has been great lately. I refrained this time but I usually do pick some up. The Nature’s Valley and Fiber One bars were all gone, hopefully they will get some more in soon. Thanks for checking out my blog, your money saving tips inspire me 🙂
